Beaujolais Nouveau is a unique wine style from Beaujolais, France, traditionally crafted with the Gamay grape using an old-world technique called carbonic maceration, in which whole clusters are kept in an anaerobic environment, causing an enzymatic reaction that converts malic acid into alcohol. This style is designed to be made and sold within the same year of production. Our Norton Nouveau, harvested on October 10, 2024, follows this method and was bottled just five weeks later. It features notes of red plum, figs, and lavender, with flavors of blueberries, morello cherries, and a classic bubblegum finish. Typically released around Thanksgiving, Beaujolais Nouveau pairs beautifully with holiday roasted meats, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin desserts, making our Norton Nouveau a perfect addition to your holiday celebrations.
